The 11 member NorthWest Cycling Team completed the over 200 kilometre Enbridge Ontario Ride to Conquer Cancer event riding from Toronto to Niagara Falls on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8, 2014 and raised more than $35,000 in donations!
 
Collectively, the event raised $20 million that will benefit the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

The Global Corporate Challenge 100 Day Journey, also known as the walking/stepping challenge, launched in late May and will see employees of NorthWest Healthcare Properties REIT (“NorthWest”) join 57,000 other teams from 1,500 of the world’s largest employers in taking a virtual travel journey around the world.

With 70 employees forming 10 teams competing with each other and other corporations all over the globe, NorthWest is taking it all in stride and is collectively aiming to take a minimum of 70,000 steps a day.

The benefits of participating in such a challenge include increasing team spirit within the company and boosting the overall health and performance of our employees. By participating, funds are also raised which are directed through the Global Corporate Challenge to UNICEF.

The GCC 100 Day Journey runs from Thursday, May 28 to Thursday, September 4, 2014.

NorthWest Healthcare Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: NWH.UN) (the "REIT") announced today that pursuant to the underwriting agreement dated March 16, 2010 between the REIT and a syndicate of underwriters led by RBC Dominion Securities Inc. (the "Underwriters"), the Underwriters have exercised in full their option to purchase 1,250,000 additional units of the REIT at a price of $10.00 per unit for an aggregate consideration of $12,500,000. The net proceeds to the REIT from the exercise of the over-allotment option will be used by the REIT to fund growth opportunities and acquisitions, reduce debt and/or for working capital purposes.   The closing of the over-allotment option will be completed on April 7, 2010.

NorthWest Healthcare Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (the "REIT") announced today that it has filed a final prospectus with the securities commissions of all provinces and territories in Canada in respect of its initial public offering of 17,500,000 units of the REIT (the "Units"). The Units will be issued at a price of $10.00 per Unit and will provide investors with a cash-on-cash yield of 8.0% annually, to be paid through monthly distributions.   Gross proceeds of the offering are expected to be $175,000,000.   The REIT has granted to the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 1,250,000 Units at a price of $10.00 per Unit for a period of up to 30 days after closing of the offering and, if exercised in full, will increase the total gross proceeds of the offering to $187,500,000.
